NoW 365 oFS - How to share files and folders (with password) in FileCloud Sync (macOS)

Launch FileCloud Sync App

On the main mini dashboard, click on the Home folder button

Depending on your site settings and folder permissions you may see a Team Share folder. For this example, we will share content within My Files, open the folder

1. Locate the file or folder you want to share, Right click

2. Click Share

1. Optional: Change the share name, recommend leaving it the same

2. Optional: You can set your link expiration date here

3. Optional: By default, it is on, recommend you leaving it.

4. Select Allow anyone with link and password

You will get a similar notification. Click OK.

Depending on your site security Policy, the default file sharing method may be set to “Specific users and groups”. If this is the case, then you will get a warning when you switch to a different sharing method from the default method.

By default, a random password will be generated. Change it as required.

You will need to provide this to the external user (recipient)

Set your sharing permissions as required. For this demo, it is view and download only. If you want to allow users to upload to a shared folder, make sure you select the most suitable permissions

Two options at this point.

Option 1 (Email App)

This will launch your default Email APP

Option 2

Copy the share link and manually share the link as fit

Click Ok when finished

The sharing window should be closed.
